August 8th was our 18th Annual Festival of Remembrance. As a not-for-profit hospice we rely heavily on donations and our annual fundraisers to offset the cost of uninsured patients and the daily cost of running a Hospice House. This event includes a live and silent auction, raffles, car giveaway and lots more! The evening is held at Prairie Dunes Golf Course, Hutchinson, KS and attended by over 200 people. This year we decided to include a $1000 cash in one of our raffles, which was a success! The large check was a great way to help promote this raffle. Britta, thank you for be so accommodating and working so quickly to get this made!
The His Interests Are Mine [H.I.M.] Scholarship was brought to fruition by three like-minded African American men fundamentally driven by the goal of debunking the repugnant narrative of inner-city young men of color.
The mission of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to three (3) High School graduates with commitments to attend a Post-Secondary Educational Institution.
They had a culmination event, where they also awarded 3 individuals.

A little about our company: We are an independent professional wrestling company based out of Oshkosh WI. We started in 2013 running small shows and have grown to be the largest independent wrestling company in Wisconsin. Once a year we run a wrestling convention called Water City Wrestling Con which brings in former WWE, WCW, and ECW stars for a large autograph session followed by a full wrestling show. Part of that show is the Evil Roy Slades Battle Royal. It is a match where the competitors are thrown over the top rope to get eliminated from the match. The last one in the ring wins. We have utilized the big check as a vital part of the match to show what the winner receives. They then go on display at our wrestling training academy in Oshkosh.
