About Files for Big Checks:
Most file formats can be used but some are better printing quality then others.
Best Quality - Vector Formats are scalable line drawings of logos which are not made up of pixels (dots, or dpi). Generally these files can come in EPS, PNG, WMF, AI, PDF file formats and are fairly small files.
Bitmap Images - These are made up of dots like a picture would be. Generally come in TIFF, JPG, BMP formats. To really see how these files look you should zoom in on a section and look at the edges. If it is real jagged it is a low resolution image that may not print well.
Website Images - Most logos that are on websites are low resolution so that the page comes up fast, and are not usable for large presentation checks. Ask for an EPS for printing file, or you can look for a PDF file on the site that has a logo on it (many times the PDFs have good vector art)
